For your consideration is this beautiful and unusual sterling silver Catholic rosary made in Italy. This is burnished silver, which means the finish was intentionally applied to the silver to give the deeper gun metal tone. The beads are created with a checkerboard effect that I hope the photos capture, similar to how a disco ball would look. This is a 5 Decade rosary with a Miraculous Medal as the Centerpiece worded in Italian. I have only seen one other like this and it was from an Italian company. This is hallmarked 925 Italy GM but I cannot identify exactly which Italian silver maker is responsible for this beautifully detailed rosary. It measures 20.25" doubled for a total of 40.50 inches in length. The crucifix is 1 5/8th" in length, the beads are 7mm or about 0.25" across. I have used the term "mourning jewelry" only because some people want a special rosary for the funeral or commemoration of a loved one and this would be very fitting. And if you wear a rosary as a necklace this would be beautiful and unusual. It is solid and the beads are not hollow. The burnished color will eventually wear off as with all burnished sterling over time.
