Charles Spencer Humphreys (1818-1880) was born in Moorestown, New Jersey where his father owned a general store. He surfaced in Camden, N.J., where he placed a notice in a newspaper advertising himself as a house, sign and an ornamental painter. Frame appears to be original (partial label on back reads “Chicago;” new nails) Circa 1840-1860. Overall: 13”W x 15”H; Site size: 10”W x 12”H
