CHARMING French made SFBJ -Societe Francaise de Bebes & Jouets lovely, 10 inch high doll in original costume!
The lovely fine bisque head is beautifully hand painted with delicate features and rosy complexion, and has gorgeous blue enamel painted eyes with painted eyelashes and brows. Her head swivels. The back of the head is incised with: S.F.B.J./60/Paris. She has a five-piece, composition and wood-jointed body and painted brown boots. The pretty doll has a soft brown, curly hair wig which needs a little attending to.
She is dressed in her original pretty outfit , long plaid apron, chintz floral shawl, cream puff sleeved blouse and silk ribbon sash around her waist. Beneath this she wears a long blue skirt, a netted lace petticoat trimmed with pretty French lace and lace trimmed panties .
The doll's composition finish is aged, and her one toe has a tiny chip can be repaired if desired. Still beautiful to display and add to your collection of antique French dolls.
