Georgian Topaz and Enamel Ring

This is such a lovely, circa 1780 ring. It features a large center topaz which in my current light, looks a pale pink. The ring features enamel forget-me-nots on the shoulders. There are still traces of the original Black and white enamel under the setting. This ring is crafted from 18 carat gold, unmarked but tested. It is in excellent wearable condition. The stone is in a closed back setting, as they always were at this time , and there is foil beneath the stone. It weighs 5.02 grams. This one is a beauty! It is one of my favorite purchases from my recent buying trip to England.
