These are lovely, Georgian (CA 1820) garnet earrings, The stones are cast in what I am sure was meant to be 18 carat gold, but back then they mixed gold a lot, and these test, with my digital tester, 14 carat. The garnet are simply beautiful. The earrings measure about 2 and 1/4 inches long, and about 7/8 of an inch wide, Together they weigh 6,48 grams, The settings are closed backed as they were in Georgian times, but the stones have a lot of color and flash. These are nice, sturdy, wearable Georgian earrings.
