This is a beautiful little silver (English sterling) jewelry box. It is in excellent condition. It is footed, with a leather bottom, and the inside is lined with gray velvet The top is in perfect condition with no discoloration, although the photo shows the shadow of my arm. Silver is very difficult to photograph without it serving as a mirror! This would be a nice addition to any ladies' dressing table. It measures 2 and 3/8 inches North to South, 2 and 1/4 inches East to West, and is 1 and 1/4 inches tall. It weighs 90.53 grams, and the hallmarks are visible declaring this piece to be English sterling silver, minted in Birmingham England, in the year 2012. It would be a lovely place to keep or present that special ring.
