This is a lovely art nouveau pendant, or Lavalier, as we call these in the South. It is marked 15 carat gold, which is something the English had from about 1850 to 1931 I listed it 14k because Ruby Lane does not have a 15, but it is clearly marked 585 which is 15 carat. It has two small rubies at the top of the pendant, and natural pearls , There is a hallmark letter date, but when I look it up it comes closest to 1855, and this is very much an art nouveau styled piece, so I am going to say it is circa 1890. It measures 2 and 1/2 inches long, counting the chain, and over an inch wide at the widest point. It weighs 2.89 grams. It is a lovely, wearable pendant.
