Very pretty Circa 1800-1820 garnet and natural pearl earrings. They are crafted in unmarked but tested 14 carat gold. These are English and of course, the English are not supposed to have 14 carat gold, but then they did not have the digital testers we have today. The Georgians mixed gold, so most items I test are 14 carat. These are very pretty, wearable, and feminine. They measure 1 and 1/4 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, and they weigh , together, 3.19 grams. Thee garnets are set in a close backed setting as they almost always were at that time. I love the color of these stones!
