This circa 1830-1850 pendant is a St Espirit pendant. The French words, St. Espirit, literally mean Holy Dove.The St. Espirit piece symbolizes God's spirit presenting itself to mankind in the form of a Dove. This religious symbol is especially popular in the Normandy region of France. It is composed of French Silver (Sterling) and the French silver mark can be seen on the back of the pendant and is visible in the last photo. This is a lovely example of an early St. Espirit pendant. It weighs 11.65 grams, and is in very good condition, with no missing stones.
