What a lovely piece this is, and it's full of precious stones. I love the ribbon of rubies at the top. This piece is Georgian, circa 1790. It is in excellent condition. The stones are set in silver (unmarked but tested sterling), and closed backed as they generally were at that time. It is in excellent, wearable, condition. It measures 1 and 1/2 inches North to South, and 1/2 inch East to West. The piece weighs 5.2 grams. Of course we can not weigh antique stones the same weigh that we measure modern ones, but the center topaz is between the size of a point .75 stone and a 1 carat one. This lovely treasure has a lot of jewel power for the price. Wow! Again, I would like to keep this one! It is so wearable, and can be dressed up or down.
