This is a lovely 15 carat yellow gold (unmarked but tested) bracelet. It is full of deep blue topaz stones, with gold hearts in-between . It is circa 1880, and measures 7 inches long and a little over 1/4 of an inch wide. The bracelet weighs 12 grams. It is in excellent condition, with a good, strong clasp. It is lovely and very wearable. Note: I bought this bracelet thinking the stones were sapphires, and the good friend from whom I bought it thought it was full of sapphires also. When testing it with a digital tester, however, it came up as topaz. I don't think I realized there was even such a thing as dark blue topaz, but there is. I checked. As first I decided the stones were spinal, which is not a bad thing either as spinal scores just below ruby on the digital tester. Most of the time it was tested however, and I tested it about ten times, it lodged just a little past spinel and on to topaz. Suffice it to say, it is a lovely , beautifully crafted bracelet, and quite a bargain for the amount of lovely blue stones and the exquisite gold work.
