I always like to buy very early pieces when I can. It's very interesting to see how jewelry has changed over the years. This piece is in great shape. If only it could talk; the stories it could tell. It is unmarked but tested 18 carat gold . It is set with a nice turquoise, and it is a size 8 and 1/2, but could be sized with a ring sizer, or buy someone who works with antique jewelry. It weighs 1.7 grams. There are several so called stirrup rings to be found in the British Museum, as well as the Victoria and Albert Museum. I am often amazed that these things are even available, but sometimes they are, in London.
