Enamel and Natural Pearl Locket, Silver, Victorian - image 1 of 4

What a lovely piece this is! First we have a beautiful silver (unmarked but tested sterling) with a natural pearl surround, and a gold rim. The locket is suspended from a pearl encrusted bow, and the locket opens easily on the back. It has a lovely glass bezel, and a secure clasp, so one could easily place a photo or a lock of hair of a loved one here. If that were not enough, we have a lovely, vibrant enamel painting, featuring a pastoral scene with a lady and her two dogs (dogs stand for fidelity). This piece is in excellent condition. It is circa 1850, and it weighs 11.2 grams, and measures 1 and 3/4 inches long, and 1 inch and 1/4 wide. This sentimental piece is worthy of a museum.
