This is a nice 18 carat , unmarked but tested, yellow gold snake ring with a center sapphire and six smaller rose diamonds. The ring is a size 7 and 1/4, but could be resized by someone used to working with antique jewelry. The sapphire is about 1/3 of a carat in size, and the diamonds are about 10 points each. This ring is circa 1880 and in excellent condition. Many of you may know that snake rings were very popular during the Victorian period , and Queen Victoria's engagement ring was a snake ring. The ring weighs 4.4 grams.
