This is an amazing early (ca 1760) rose cut diamond pendant/cross. The diamonds are closed backed and set in silver (unmarked but tested sterling). This is a dark beauty; I'm sure the silver would brighten if cleaned and polished, but some prefer it dark, so I'll leave that up to the new owner. This piece contains several rose cut diamonds of varying sizes and shapes, and it has a later chain that has been added, but works beautifully, with a jump ring on either end, which is attached to the top of the pendant. The piece measures 2 and 2/4 inches North to South, and 1 and 7/8 inches East to West. The chain is 17 and 1/2 inches long, and the entire piece weighs 13 grams. This piece is in very good condition for its age, and it's actually quite a bargain for such a lovely, early piece.
