This lovely memorial ring is rather unusual. It is in memory of two individuals, and the hair of both is braided and inset in the gold band. The ring is in excellent condition, and one which is very wearable. The ring is full of Hallmarks, including the one showing it was minted in Birmingham, and the 18 for 18 carat. The ring is inscribed inside as follows: :GBM June 1st 1878. then, over the back of the setting or the pearl is another inscription : "M M 1877. The four pockets of hair work, two for each loved one, makes this ring unusual. The ring is a size 7, and can not be resized, except by the placing of balls inside to make the ring smaller. It weighs 5.2 grams, and the pearl is somewhere between 50 and 75 points. The ring is in excellent condition.
