This is a very nice, sentimental band. It is 18 carat gold, marked, and is fully hallmarked. It was minted in Sheffield , England, in 1909. The gold has lovely blue enamel touches, and the ring contains 2 rose cut diamonds, and 3 pearls. The band has a locket, covered with glass, with braided human hair, which most likely belonged to the beloved. This ring is actually in the style of a somewhat earlier time, but I checked the hallmarks very closely, and they say 1909. It is in excellent condition, and is a size 6 and 3/4, though it could be sized by someone used to working with antique jewelry. It is sturdy, and very wearable. If one wished, it could be worn with another band style ring.
