What a lovely piece this is. It's not gold, but "Pinch" as the English say, which was a metal that wore and looked like gold, but wasn't. It never turns, and often is brighter an heavier than gold. This piece is as beautifully crafted by a jeweler with the same care that he would have made a piece of 18 carat gold. This is a stunning piece. It measures 1 and /4 inches North to South, and 5/8 of an inch East to West. It weights 5.4 grams. This is a good way to get a lovely, antique piece at a bargain. It is circa 1850.
