This is a lovely, circa 1790, Giardinetti ring. As many of you know, Giardinetti is Italian for "Little garden." This ring depicts a basket of flowers , formed from rose cut diamonds, two rubies, one emerald, and another stone that looks like a very dark , cabochon sapphire, but I'm not sure what that one is. The ring is unmarked but tested 18 carat gold, and the rose cut diamonds are closed backed and set in silver as they always were at this time. The ring measures a size 7 and 1/4 on the ring sizer , but that is if it is turned around to where the back is on the sizer where the numbers are. I think it may fit more like a 7. It weighs 1.9 grams, and the "basket of flowers " (gems) measures almost 3/4 of an inch North to South, and about 5/8 of an inch East to West. It is in very good condition, and is a lovely, wearable, piece of history.
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: Silver, gold , red, green, Size: 7 to 7 and 1/4
