I don't get rings very often with rose cut diamonds this large, and with this much sparkle. This ring is circa 1820, and a size 5 and 3/4. The stones are closed backed, foiled, and set in silver as they would have been at that time. The band is fashioned of 18 ct, yellow cut, unmarked, but tested. I can not tell you what size the center diamond is, because we do not weigh rose cut diamonds the way we weigh modern diamonds , and of course , I am not going to take it out of the setting to weigh it. I can tell you that the center diamond measures about 3/8 of an inch in diameter, and the large diamond has a rose cut diamond surround. The ring weighs 2.8 grams, and it is in excellent condition. It is beautiful.
