Many of you know that Giardinetti (Little Garden) rings were and are quite popular, but it is quite hard to find all original ones in decent condition. This one was a bargain I came upon. It features 4 Table cut diamonds, set in silver, and two rubies. The ring is crafted in 18 ct (unmarked but tested) yellow gold. I have a nice one that is all diamond, but I love them the most when they have color, as would a true basked of flowers. This one is a size 8, but it could be resized by a placing a ring sizer around it, or by someone who is used to working with antique jewelry. It is circa 1790, and weighs 2.9 grams. The part of the ring with the stones measures about 1/2 an inch North to South. I can't get a good reading East to West, because the ring curves, as they often did, to fit flat upon the finger. This is a beauty, and a bargain!
