This lovely ring features a lovely forget-me-not, crafted from silver and rose cut diamonds, which sits on a lovely bed of verre Eglomise (blue glass). It has a nice, thick shank, and the ring is in excellent condition except that the engraving on the inside shank seems to have worn away in places. I can't read the name. I can read the date , June 12, 18 (2)? then . . . AET 66 years. It's rare to find a ring in such good condition with worn engraving but such is the case with this ring. The part of the ring with the forget-me-not measures about 1/2 inch North to South, and 3/8 of an inch East to West. The ring weighs 5.3 grams. It is a size 7 to 7 and 1/2, and it could be sized by someone used to working with antique pieces. Note: The primary photo makes the glass appear black, but it is blue. The photo of the ring on the finger is more a more realistic one.
