This is a very nice little Sorrento Stamp and Nib Box. It has a beautiful pattern of birds in the inlaid wood, and the finish is beautiful. It has a lot of lustre and is, for the most part, a sort of pale green and wood color. It is all wood, and the inside is fitted for stamps and nibs On the back is written in pen "Phoebe's Box, From Gracie (I think that's the name) Aug, 1913. This would be lovely on a desk, or a great addition for any box collector. It measures 2 and 1/8 inches east to west, 2 and 1/8 inches north to south, and it is 1 and 1/8 inches deep. The close up photo makes it appear as though there is a big crack in the top; there is a line there, but it really doesn't detract as it's in the busy pattern, and the piece is very secure.
