This is such a lovely item, that I will decide to keep it if it doesn't sell soon. I saw it in Bath England, and couldn't resist it as I have some smaller, heart shaped frames. How lovely an entire collection of these would be! Anyway, this one is in perfect condition, measures 5 inches by 6 and 3/4 inches, and the hallmarks are quite legible and declare it to be British Sterling, made in Birmingham, in the year 1902/3, by the makers S & B. It appears to still have its original green velvet back and there is no damage at all except for a break in the leg of the stand , visible only from the back. It has been repaired and is quite secure. I hesitated before this purchase because it was expensive, but as usual, I gave in to its beauty. What a wonderful wedding or anniversary gift this frame would be!
