This is a beautiful tea caddy, and the type that is my personal favorite; it's rosewood with lovely Mother-of-pearl inlay. It is in very good condition. There is a lock, but I don't have a key. The caddy still has its original lining both inside the cavities, and on the underside of the lids. It rests on four bun feet, and it measures 5 1/2 inches by 9inches, by 4 and 3/4. The pearl work forms a lovely flower pattern, and the wood has wonderful patina. The box is in very good condition. There is a little fleck on yellowish paint or wood glue (though I see no evidence of anything being glued) on the left flower, bottom part of lid. This is actually more noticeable in the picture than to the actual eye; I'm sure it could easily be removed. It isn't a chip in the wood.
