These are very interesting and colorful Flow Blue cups and saucers I've had for a while and thought was on Ruby Lane, and now discover they aren't. I have always loved them because of the colorful orange, flowing with the blue, and the large, breakfast sized cups. I am a big tea drinker, and favor a big cup over a dainty little one. The English dealer from whom I bought these said they were circa 1850. There is no country of origin mark, so they are clearly before 1891. This one has a slight chip on the bottom of the saucer which does not show on the right side, and the mark is visible, but blurred--while clear on its companion piece. The cup measures 4 and 1/8 inches in diameter, and is 3 and 1/8 inches tall. The chip is about 2 o'clock on the back side of the saucer; any other marks are from flash glare.
