I've never seen an item quite like this one. It's a small purse, of blue leather, and inside, it has opera glasses, in trimmed in matching blue leather. The inside of the purse is lined with blue moire. There is a change compartment, and a mirror backed with blue leather. The purse measures 4 and 1/2inches North to South, and 4 inches East to West. It has a strap for carrying. Here's everything m'lady needs for the theater. The purse, circa 1900, is in quite good condition for its 100 odd years, There is some wear to the leather especially around the top, and the main latch works very well, but the snap is gone from one of the inside compartments, though not the one for change. It is stamped , in gold leaf, on the inside,, John Pound & Co LTD, London.
