This is a lovely Victorian tea service that I have enjoyed on my buffet for many years. I am ready to offer it for sale as I am into Georgian sterling now, and my buffet is getting too full! This set has a teapot, a sugar bowl with lid, a creamer, and a waste bowl. It is a wonderful set of quadruple silver plating over copper. Unfortunately, since I listed this item, I have learned that, in cleaning out my garage, my family inadvertently gave the tray away to the Disabled Vets, so I am reducing the price as there is no longer a tray. I love the curves on the bottom of the pieces. It is in excellent condition, though of course, it needs a good polish, and the silver plating is worn in several places. I have just enjoyed it the way it is, as replating it would be expensive, but worse, would make it look so new, Of course, that is up to the new owner. Many have had them stripped to the copper and pewter. I have one in my collection like that, so that could be done to this set. The teapot is 8 and 1/4 inches tall, and 9 and 1/4 inches wide from handle to spout. The pieces are marked and numbered, as shown in the photo. The set was manufactured by Apollo Silver Co. This is a great set for a person needing usable, Victorian furnishings for a dining room.
