This one is small, but mighty. I've never seen anything quite like it before. It's a locket with an enameled top, which looks something like and envelope or small purse. It is crafted of 9 ct. gold. The back lifts up to reveal a hair pocket with hair. This piece is circa 1850, and, including bail, it measures 1 inch North to South, and 3/4 of an inch, East to West. It would be lovely on a small chain worn either as a pendant, or on a bracelet.
