This is a lovely small edition of Scott's "The Lady of the Lake." The cover is a Mauchline one (plane or sycamore wood) with an etched view of Callander From the South West. The book has a red leather spine, with gold tooling. The volume measures 3 and 1/2 inches North to East, 2 and 3/8 inches East to West, and 3/8 of an inch thick. The book is in very good condition for its age; it has an inscription of "85," which is, of course, 1885. This would make a lovely addition to a Mauchline or small book collection.
