This is another great silhouette from the same collection. This one has the name of the subject, Johnny Crawford, his age, 17 years old, and the date, 1843--all written on the back. It is in its original wood frame which appears to be walnut or cherry, and has a beautiful patina. Framed the piece measures 6 and 1/2 inches North to South, and 5 inches East to West. The silhouette itself measures 3 1/4 inches North to South, and 1 and 1/4 inches East to West, and this is the cut silhouette only, not the background. There is no damage to this great work of art.
