This is a nice 18 carat gold band (marked but the gold weight mark is worn, but it has been tested). It is a so called Gypsy band, which contains two sapphires and three small rose cut diamonds. The band measures 5/8 of an inch wide at the widest point. It is a size 8 to 8 and 1/2, but it could be resized by a jeweler used to working with antique jewelry. The ring is hallmarked, but I am in the UK now, and had a difficult time getting a good photo in the light here of the marks. As I said the 18 carat mark is worn, but the maker's mark, LW, the mark for Birmingham, and the date mark are all visible. The date mark dates the ring to the years 1899.
