What a beautiful bracelet this is, and it's one, I don't mind admitting, I would like to keep. I love the fact that it isn't a bangle, as most of the Bohemian grant bracelets I have seen are. This one contains no missing stones, and it has the lovely, large, cabochon garnet in the center. It is in excellent condition, and crafted of what is often referred to as "garnet gold," or very low carat (1 to 2 carat) gold. The bracelet measures 6 and 3/4 inches long, and weighs 13.88 grams. The band of garnet flowers measures 1/2 inch wide. The clasp, with the cabochon garnet measures 3/4 of an inch, East to West, and about the same North to South. This is a lovely, and rather unusual piece. It is circa 1890.
