This is a beautiful locket crafted of gold, 9 ct or better. Once side consists of a sepia scribe. The initials appear to be "JLC." The other side has the lovely hairwork. The sides of this piece are very nice also, as the gold is beautifully chased. Someone long ago has put a lot of work into this circa 1800 pendant. It measures 1 and 1/4 inches long counting bail, and 5/8 inches wide. There is no damage to this Georgian piece. Any light spots are glare from the flash; I found this one quite difficult to photograph.
