This is another wonderful witch's heart--symbolizing "I'm bewitched by you," and also given as a token to a loved one to "ward off the witches." They were first sold in Scotland in locked booths, or "luckenbooths." This one is a double one, complete with crown on top. It is fashioned from pearls and turquoise in 15 ct. gold, and it also has its original "c" clasp and "t" hinge. This work of art also features beautiful gold beading on the sides. It measures 1 and 1/4 inches long, and 7/8 of an inch wide, and it was purchased in an exclusive antique jewelry store in London where only the best is sold. It is circa 1850.
