What a beautiful piece this is,and if one were not told, one would never know this was not a gold bracelet. It's crafted from that English metal, pinchbeck, which wears and looks like gold but is not. Often, it looks better than gold. These pieces of agate are so beautiful and finely crafted, it is obvious that it was constructed by a skilled jeweler. The bracelet is circa 1840, and is in excellent condition. It is a little over 7 and 1/4 inches long, and it weighs 38.03 grams. It fastens securely, and measures 1 and 1/8 inch wide. This bracelet is truly a work of art.
