10 Carat Gold Post Earrings, Circa 1969

I am cleaning out my old jewelry box, and am finding things I forgot I had. I always liked good jewelry, even when I was very young and long before I ever thought about an antique business or pair of antique earrings! I always wanted gold, and not costume jewelry. This is one of the first pair of earrings I had, when I first had my ears pierced, about forty years ago! These are cute little gold (at least 10 carat , tested, but not marked, as the mark was usually on the back) dangles. I can't believe I ever wore such small earrings! These would be ideal for a child. They measure a little over 1/4 of an inch long. I have lost the backs to these, but the new owner can get gold ones from a jeweler. I will include some of the clear plastic ones which I wear with my French wire earrings, and they will work just fine.
