This is a beautiful sterling silver card case. it has a change and ring, so that it could be carried like a purse or attached to a chatelaine. The top is on a spring, so that it pulls open, and snaps shut. The piece is in excellent condition, and measures 2 and 1/4 inches North to South, and 3 and 1/2 inches East to West. There is a place for monogramming, but this has never been done, and the new owner could do so if he or she so desired. The hallmarks are clear and declare that this piece is British sterling, minted in Birmingham in the year 1913 by the maker "I." or "J.O." There is an antique card inside for a Miss L. Rolles. Modern cards would have to be trimmed a little, or made to order to fit, and ours are a little larger today than those of Miss Rolles.
