This is a beautiful, full calf leather, prize edition of Wonderful Inventions, by John Timbs. I do not see a copywrite date, but the prize bookplate is dated 1880. This book is in wonderful condition, with marbled paper front and end pieces, and the emblem for the Sussex Board for Local Examinations is tooled on the front in gold. There is also gold tooling on the front, back, and spine, and the book has "numerous" engravings. The only damage at all to this lovely volume is a little foxing on a few pages. The book measures 7 and 1/4 inches North to South, 4 and 3/4 inches East to West, and is1 and 1/2 inches thick.
