This is a beautiful, full calf leather volume of The Newcomes, by William M. Thackeray. It is a prize edition from Dulwich College, and the school's crest is tooled in gold on the front of the booth. The leather is a rich brown in color, and the edges of the pages are gilded, The fronts and ends pieces are marbled paper, and the book was printed in 1912 in London. It measures 7 and 1/4 inches North to South, 4 and 3/4 inches East to West, and 1 and 1/2 inches thick. The book is in very good condition with all pages present and the leather has little or no scaring. There is a split in the binding which shows on the inside of the marbled paper, but the binding seems tight. The volume has quite a lot of illustrations also, Please excuse the flashes of white from the flash. There is no discoloration on the marbled paper or the leather.
