This is a striking necklace that I knew I must buy the moment I saw it. It is a choker of natural pearls. Hanging from the pearls are thirteen citrines, beautifully faceted. This circa 1860 necklace is in its original box, from "J Morton, Jeweller, Dublin." The necklace measures 14 and 1/2 inches, counting only one end of the clasp. The London dealer from whom I bought this piece told me he had had it restrung, because he broke it himself. This would look wonderful with most anything. It could be dressed up or down, and the original box is a real plus.
