This is a beautiful piece. I debated a long time before purchasing it because it was fairly expensive. It is such good quality, though, that I decided it was worth it. It is a beautifully shaped brooch/pendant with rose cut diamonds, and an opal in the center. The diamonds are set in silver, but the piece is backed in gold. This circa 1880's piece measures 1 and 1/4 inch North to South, and 1 inch East to West.
