This is another of the wonderful, Victorian, prize bindings. This is a copy of the works of Edmund Spenser, bound in lovely hard, navy leather. It was issued as a prized from The City of London, School for Girls, and this logo is tooled in gold on the front, The front and ends pieces are marbled, as are the edges of the pages, The spine is also tooled in gold, and the volume, dated 1899, is in excellent condition. It measures 7 inches North to South, 5 inches East to West, and is 1 inch thick.
