I love these calendars, and this is only the 2nd one I have ever seen. There are 4 knobs on the top of the wooden box, and you dial each knob to get the right month. You are told how many days are in each month, and you role one of the knobs so that the red line marks off each day. The hallmarks on this piece are clearly visible, and they declare that it is British Sterling Silver, minted in Birmingham, in the year 1914 by the maker WJM. This piece is in excellent working order. It measures 5 and 1/2 inches tall, and 7 and 3/4 inches wide. What a nice piece to place on an antique desk.
