This is only the second of this type of ring I have ever seen, and I bought them both! This one is circa 1840, and the enamel is in excellent condition. It also contains 6 rose cut diamonds--2 for the eyes, and four in the setting. This is a one of a kind ring, and there's not a lot more to say about it. The setting is closed backed, and the ring is a size 6 and 3/4. It could be sized by someone who is used to working with antique jewelry The ring weighs 3.37 grams and the masque, from top diamond to bottom diamond measures 5/8 of an inch North to South, and about the same East to West. Again, this is a museum quality ring which is rare, and it is in excellent condition.
