I love these pink topaz pieces and always mean to keep one, but as of yet, it hasn't happened, because I'd need the stomacher, ring, earrings, and bracelet--all! This is a wonderful, circa 1840, pink topaz brooch or pendant. It is of 18 carat gold (unmarked but tested), and the beautiful cannetille gold work is one of the things I love most about the pieces created at this time. This piece can be worn as a brooch, or pendant, as it has both a brooch attachment and a bale. The stomacher contains 7 very nice, closed backed and foiled pink topaz stones. The pieces measures a little over 2 and 1/4 inches North to South, and 1 and 1/4 inches East to West. The piece weighs 6.18 grams. The bottom portion moves, so do forgive the fact that, in the photo, it isn't exactly straight I should have adjusted it a little!
