Stuart Crystal Earrings, Circa 1690 - image 1 of 4

I am so proud to be able to offer a pair of Stuart Crystal Earrings , that have always been earrlngs, for sale on Ruby Lane. I had every intention of keeping these beauties for myself, because authentic Stuart Crystal earrings, not made from buttons or something else, are so rare. I tried these on and they did not look good on my practically non-existent earlobes. They hung down too low, and what showed was the top of the earring and not the Crystal. I had my English friend try one on (she has normal sized earlobes) and they looked fine on her, so I determined I would have to keep those made from buttons with new hooks, rather than these which are the better pair. I always have trouble like that with earrings; most studs are too big for my ears. No matter, they will look wonderful on someone else! I have had to buy a new camera, and thus far, have not been as pleased with my photos as I was with those of the old camera, but these crystals are in excellent condition. They are crafted of 18 ct gold (unmarked but tested) and the faceted crystal contains hair and the gold thread scribe of "jB." The crystals measure 3/8 of an inch East to West, and the same North to South. The crystals are clear and shiny, and not cloudy at all. What a treasure these earrings are for some lucky person!
