I love these small books with the silver (sterling) cover. This one is a Hymnbook, entitled, Hymns Ancient and Modern. There is no music printed here;j just words, so one would need to know the tune to sing them. The cover has a lovely figure of a depictions of Sir Joshua Reynolds painting of cherubs. The rest of the books is leather, and it is in good condition for its age, with all pages present. The silver is fully hallmarked, and declares that the silver is British Sterling, minted in 1908 in Chester, by makers, J % RC. The book measures 2 and 1/4 inches North to South, and 2 inches East to West.
