This is a great, full calf leather volume, of this famed book, by Sir Edward Creasy. It was published in London in 1874, and it is in very good condition, There are a few age spots on the leather on the front cover, and a small tear in the leather on the back. Both these places show in the photo, but they do not detract from the beauty of the volume. The ends of the pages are marbled, and the fronts and endspieces match. The spine is tooled in gold, as well as the "margins" of the front and back. The book measures 7 and 1/4 inches North to South, 4 and 3/4 inches East to West, and is 1 inch thick. Please excuse the flashglare on the photo of the frontspiece. There is no discoloration or paper loss on the bottom of marbled paper, though the flashglare makes it appear so.
