This is the only gold vinaigrette/pendant/watch fob I have ever seen , but one never knows when a lady might need to take out her smelling salts to relieve herself of bad odors, or keep herself from swooning! This one is very nice in a rather shell like shape, with two little turquoise set in the gold. the piece, not counting bale, measures 1 inch North to South, and almost 1/2 inch East to West. It is circa 1860, and opens where a piece of cotton or sponge could be placed with the smelling salts. There are little holes to let the smell out. This piece weighs 2.6 grams.
